O SON DO CAMIÑO
“O Son do Camiño” festival is the main cultural event in Galicia. It takes place in June at Monte do Gozo, Santiago de Compostela, and its billing features many international acts, many performing for the first time in Galicia, and also Galician artists, helping the current musical scene to be more dynamic. The goals of this festival are:
- To get to know Xacobeo worldwide.
- To promote the Galicia brand through one of the main touristic and cultural asset: the Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of St. James.
- To push “O Son do Camiño” as a brand linked to Galicia, the Camino de Santiago and Xacobeo.
Every year, thanks to its popular prices, the 30.000 attendants per day buy their tickets in less than half an hour, selling out the whole festival año and establishing it as the fastest-selling festival in Spain.
